Privateers made for a very full field at every Grand Prix; there were at least five 250Fs at each race, and an astonishing fifteen were present at the 1957 Italian Grand Prix! Maserati works racers, however, arrived in style, loaded aboard the Scuderia Maserati transporter. Finished in Maserati blue with yellow accents, the Fiat-Bartoletti Race Transporter looked resplendent amongst the less stylish transporters. Maserati was clearly the class of the field both on the track and in the paddock.
